Flying mounts

So right after I dinged 70, I had to go and start making goldz. Took me about 10 hours of mining, stealth farming to get the extra 580g that I didn't already have. I had around 220g on me, and a guildie lent me 100g. Then I ran to Wildhammer in Shadowmoon and bought the Ebon Gryphon.

I immediately mounted and flew straight up as high as I could, then I equipped my parachute cloak waited for the cooldown and canceled the gryphon. Skydiving time!! That was fun. when NPC's started to be rendered by my graphics card I knew it was time to pull my 'chute. and I landed with about 7 seconds left on the 'chute.

Then I got info on the netherdrake quest line and started that one(I'm at the part where I need to free the enslaved netherdrakes, currently). But before that I flew around...just because. And I realized that running on epic would be faster, but if you want to fly over mountains (say, blade's edge) or over water or whatever then the flyer is good. Until I get epic flying I'll still probably run on the ground alot.

Ding!

Dinged 70 finally! I did it in Netherstorm. I bundled a few quests together and decided to use the quest Turning Point as my 'dinger.' Well upon getting to Socrethar, keep in mind I'm doing the scryer version, we see a few Draenai and a giant Draenai chilling with Socrethar. And nothing is happening. One of my groupmates, also guildie, decided to pull a mob and and BAM! It works...so we thought we had it fixed. Well come to find out all 5 of us submitted tickets to GM's. And at precisely the same moment we pulled the mob in the GM reset the encounter! LOL! I got a tell when from the GM when we wiped saying "whoops, here's a rez." We finished and I turned in....no ding! NO DING!!! WHAT?! I was left needing EXACTLY 1k xp....wtf?! So I went out and killed 2 wolves and...je ding. What a way to ding the level cap eh? Any way my plans now are to get money money money to get my flying mounts, yes I am going to get both mounts and not just the normal flying training. What are your plans post 70? straight for Karazhan? or work on all of your Rep grinds for the end game Hyjal attunement?

New Developments: The Black Temple

Though not very detailed at the moment, I'm sure more will come soon. Blizzard has THIS to tell use about The Black Temple.

taken from 'http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/underdev/'

'
Originally founded as a Draenei temple, this plot has been conquered and despoiled many times throughout the history of Outland, removing any spiritual grace it may have once held. The Black Temple has been the stage of the Orc Horde's blood curse, a fortress for the then-mortal Ner'zhul, and a prime staging ground for the Burning Legion's campaign of destruction.. Most recently, it has been claimed as home by Illidan, where he and his minions make their bid for power over the remnants of the shattered planet. Now, it is up to you to face the malefic forces of Illidan and his minions in hopes of freeing Outland from chaos and tyranny.

Black Temple is a 25-person raid dungeon located in Shadowmoon Valley.

Explore an ancient site steeped in Warcraft lore
Gain access to more than a hundred new rare and epic items, including tier-6 armor sets
Choose your path through a nonlinear level-70 raid dungeon, as you make your way to...
Face Illidan himself!'

Professions

Well I'm at an impasse with one of my professions. I started out with herbalism and alchemy. That was fun, then I started seeing people have a lot of fun with engineering. So I got rid of Herb/Alch and took up mining and engineering.

That was from about level 48 to now. Before TBC I had a lot of fun. Pets, Grenades, other devices, a nifty transporter. But now that TBC is here, none of the <300 recipes make me want to press on. So, I am most likely going to take up blacksmithing. And from there I will decide on a weapon smith path to take. I WAS combat swords but I decided to go daggers/fists, and I've always like maces. So I know weapon smith is in my future. As to which one I'll choose...that's a bridge I'll cross when I get to it. What are your feelings on your pre-TBC professions and their future in TBC?

So Much To Do

There is soooo much to do in Outland, I'm still about 6 bubbles from 70(WTFL2PCARIMM!) and I've probably barely done 1/3 of the available quests. The ONLY zone I did all of the quests in is Hellfire Peninsula. I've done a few in Zangarmarsh and Terokkar Forest, and about 1/4 or less in Nagrand. I totally bypassed Blade's Edge and have done a quite a few in Netherstorm. When I ding(hopefully tomorrow morning), I will then go back to Hellfire and work on exalted with Honor Hold and go from there to each progessive zone and do quests and get exalted with the respective factions. Then I will be able to get the Heroic keys; and I will be able to get geared up for raiding. That's my plan of attack, what are you doing once you get to/now that you are 70?

Getting Help

Did you ever feel that people are greedy? Like, too greedy to want to help people get quests done, even if its just a few more kills or a few more quest drops? I was in Netherstorm doing the quest, "Fel Reaver, No Thanks!" I was fighting 5 other people for the kills. So I sent one guy a tell, "Hey can I join you for a few minutes so that I can get this quest done?" And he said, "No I'm trying to get marks." So I proceeded to ask the other 4 people if I could join them, just for the quest. Low and behold they all 5 were farming marks. I told them that I was going for Scryer rep and that they could have the marks... ...nothing, one guy even ignored me. This just made me realize that people are greedy, to the point of being anti-social. Don't you hate that? If I see someone shout about needing help with a quest, and I'm near where they need help I'll /inv them and help really fast. Chances are they'll want to quest more, or even help you do your quest. Anyway, just help...it will make you look better. You know who you are, just be nice.

TBC Wish List

I know everyone goes to their favorite wow database and searches their respective class loot lists and drool over those items they have yet to get their hands on. Well here is my endgame wish list:
Ok ok ok, I could go on for awhile and name everything cool I could use, butI'm going to stop here. This list is what I really want to get, I have the bag/bank space for it. Speaking of bags I currently have 11 [Imbued Netherweave Bags] but I am going to try and get 11 [Primal Mooncloth bags] so that I can fit all of my mounts and wish list items. That will take me: 1584 Netherweave cloth, 176 Arcane Dust, 880 Motes of Life, 880 Motes of Water and 44 Netherweb Spidersilk AND 4 days of cooldowns on each piece of 88 Primal Mooncloth. Watchout now!!

What do you want?

Outland Quest Progression

Now that I'm level 69, I get a few tells every time I play from people closer to 60 asking where to go after Hellfire Peninsula. Well I'm going to say here where I went and how long.

  • Started in Hellfire Peninsula: I did all the quests I could find there(60-62)
  • Next I went to Zangarmarsh: I did all the quests I could find there until I got tired of running around. Mainly all of the Telredor and Orebor quests I could find(62-64)
  • Then I moved to Terokkar Forest: Here I quested until I felt I needed to move on.(64-66.5)
  • Then I went to Nagrand: I really didn't spend alot of time here, I checked it out and revealed the map, the Nessingwary chains pissed me off(still on step 2 of all 3 master quests). (66.5-67.5)
  • Now I'm in Netherstorm: Area 52 and Stormspire give you plenty to keep you busy.(67.5-69[soon 70])

I've only done a few isntances so far. Mainly Ramparts, Blood Furnace, Slave Pens and Underbog. Other than those few I really have focused on just leveling. I didn't start playing TBC until about January 25th; I play about on both of my days off from work about 5-8 hours on those 2 days and during my work week maybe 2-5 hours(depending on my sleep needs at the time). It is very possible to level just by questing and you get decent rewards from the quests. If you want the gear go for the instances, but I don't like looking for groups, and they are always 'full on rogues.' Anyway thats how I did it and I'm a pretty casual player, so you too can do it. Now I just have to save the money for my flying mounts and also get exalted in nagrand and get a talbuk mount.

A new day

I've started a new blog to detail my life and times in the World of Warcraft. I am currently level 69(and a half) and very close to 70. I am working in Netherstorm currently, just doing all the quests I can, trying not to fall off of Outland(yes, I have done it 2 times already). Anyway I will be talking about anything that comes to mind about the game. I'm not too into theorycraft, so I won't get technical. Anyway read or don't read...thanks for coming. If you wanna talk hit me up on the Meebo widget to your right. Peace.
